The patients who may need surgical treatment on their knee, it’s extremely important that they’ve got confidence in the person that’s going to be operating on them ,and they feel that they can have a long-term professional relationship with this person because recovery for knee surgery can take some time. I would always encourage my patients to do their own research to make sure that the person they’re going to see has been properly trained, performs a large number of procedures that you’re going to see them for, and then I think the next thing to consider is which friends of yours have seen them? Does your GP know them? Is the physiotherapist that you know and trust enthusiastic about you going to see that particular specialist?
