A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paulo Selber and the entire team at the Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Unit at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City for hosting Mr Benan Dala-Ali during his visit last year.
Benan said “It was great to catch up with a true friend, colleague and mentor in the field of paediatric and neuromuscular orthopaedic surgery. I had the opportunity to observe world-class clinical practice across orthopaedic theatre, outpatient clinics and the gait analysis laboratory.
During my visit, I was also pleased to contribute to orthopaedic education by delivering a Chalk Talk session for the HSS orthopaedic residents, focusing on the management of supracondylar fractures—a complex paediatric injury. I shared expert insights and practical strategies developed through my experience in London, Oxford, Milton Keynes, and Melbourne.
Looking forward to the opportunity to host Dr. Selber in London soon and continue this valuable friendship and international collaboration in the field of paediatric orthopaedics.”
