Exercises for your osteoarthritic knee are extremely important, and there’s no doubt that putting a nice, strong muscular base around your knee will help your symptoms in the longterm. I encourage my patients to do as much exercise as they possibly can, and I find that using the bicycle, using a rowing machine, a Nordic cross trainer, or being in the pool, essentially exercises that don’t involve high impact weight bearing, are most beneficial to my patients.
