Bunions can be corrected in two ways, a non-surgical way of correcting a bunion is using a splint, but this tends to be quite a bulky splint, which is uncomfortable and not really practical for day to day life. Surgical correction, although requires the patient to go into an operating theatre and put themselves through surgery, is a reliable way of straightening the toe and improving the symptoms.
