Knee supports are broadly split up into two main types. Firstly, those that provide some compression and keep the knee warm and they can be very helpful, particularly if you find that your knee arthritis affected by the weather. And then there’s a second sort of knee support, which can alter the way that the knee moves and can offload the really painful part of the knee, which is most commonly the inside of the knee. And in this situation, it can provide you with some significant relief. And they’re a very important parts of the conservative management strategies that I provide to patients when managing their knee arthritis.
