Shelain is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London since 2018, where he specialises in treating complex foot and ankle conditions in adults and teenagers. His practice covers ankle arthritis and deformity, ankle replacement and fusion, arthroscopy, ligament injuries, Achilles tendon disorders, cartilage (osteochondral) injuries, and forefoot problems such as bunions and big toe arthritis, as well as flat feet and high arch (cavus) conditions. Fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery with additional sports trauma and arthroscopy experience internationally, he works within a multidisciplinary team and uses modern techniques including custom instrumentation for total ankle replacement, supported by an extensive track record in research, publishing, and teaching.
