- Qualifications: MBChB (Hons), BSc (Hons), FRCS (Tr & Orth)
- Quen read Medicine at the University of Leeds School of Medicine and gained higher surgical training on the prestigious Northwest Thames (Imperial) rotation in London. This provided extensive experience working across a range of hospitals including one of the busiest central London Major Trauma Centres.
- On completion of training, he was entered onto the specialist register in 2020.
- Quen then completed further sub-specialty fellowship training from world renowned Cambridge University Hospitals Trust gaining expertise in complex tertiary elbow trauma and advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques.
- He holds professional memberships of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Elbow & Shoulder Society.
RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, TEACHING
- Quen is widely published in peer-review journals on Shoulder and Elbow surgery in national and international journals. He has co-authored several book chapters and continues with his professional development at national and international conferences.
- He was awarded the Orthopaedics Blue Ribbon Article Award in 2020 in recognition of outstanding contribution to Orthopaedic Literature. He was also awarded the Lipmann Kessel prize for his research in arthroplasty.
- Quen has created nationally, and internationally renowned online educational content used by orthopaedic surgeons preparing for consultant exams.
- Quen is the Resident Doctor Lead for training orthopaedic surgeons that rotate through the West Middlesex University Hospital. He is regular faculty on orthopaedic courses contributing to the education of future surgeons.
