Mr Quen Tang is a London-based Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions. He is an NHS Consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and practises privately through Grosvenor Orthopaedic Partners, consulting at The London Clinic in Marylebone, Central London, and Syon Clinic in West London.
His specialist expertise includes rotator cuff tears and arthroscopic repair, shoulder instability and dislocations, frozen shoulder, shoulder arthritis and shoulder replacement surgery, alongside complex elbow injuries, elbow instability, distal biceps tendon ruptures and shoulder and elbow fractures.
Following higher surgical training in London, Mr Tang completed specialist fellowship training at Cambridge University Hospitals, developing advanced expertise in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, shoulder reconstruction and complex elbow trauma and instability.
He offers a comprehensive range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, including keyhole (arthroscopic) shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, anatomical and reverse total shoulder replacement, shoulder stabilisation, elbow ligament reconstruction and the management of complex upper-limb injuries.
Mr Tang is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis, clear communication and shared decision-making. Recognising that surgery is not always necessary, he works closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide appropriate non-operative treatment wherever possible.
