- High volume surgeon with extensive experience in complex surgery including minimally invasive approaches and robotic surgery
- Covers all aspects of hip and knee surgery including daycase total and partial replacements
TRAINING + QUALIFICATIONS
- He studied medicine at Imperial College London
- He completed a doctorate at Magdalene College, Cambridge, having received the highest research grant ever awarded to an individual by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), he received a distinction for his thesis.
- He completed an intercalated BSc in Neuroscience at Imperial College London
- He completed international fellowships in world-renowned centres. He did a year long international fellowship in complex reconstruction and revision surgery at the very high-volume centre at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, where he learnt the minimally invasive anterior approach
- He completed a sports knee injuries fellowship and travelling research scholarship programme at the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado, USA.
- He has fellowship level training in major trauma.
RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, TEACHING
- Awarded a National Institute for Health and Care Research, Academic Clinical Lectureship at the University of Cambridge
- Awarded over £115,000 of peer reviewed research grant funding over his career
- Reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Arthroplasty.
- Completed a master’s level Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Cambridge,
- Teaches on several FRCS courses, preparing aspiring orthopaedic surgeons for the consultant accreditation examination
- Qualified Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) instructor
