- Consultant in the Shoulder and Elbow unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore – a world renowned orthopaedic centre.
- Manages all aspects of shoulder and elbow including instability, sports injuries, joint reconstruction and replacement.
- Specialist practice which includes complex problems and revision surgery.
TRAINING + QUALIFICATIONS
- David qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ London Medical School achieving a BSc in Neuroscience alongside his MBBS medical qualification.
- During his Orthopaedic Training he also completed an MSc in Orthopaedic Science at the University of Brighton.
- He has undertaken two specialist fellowships at Guy’s Hospital London and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, with special emphasis on complex shoulder and elbow reconstruction.
- He was awarded the prestigious Watanabe Travelling Fellowship in 2017 and used this opportunity to visit Specialists in arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, TEACHING
- David has wide ranging research interests including an emphasis on the results of surgical intervention and leads the collection of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs). He has completed a MSc in orthopaedic science, presented at international scientific meetings and published in the orthopaedic research literature as well as being the author of textbook chapters related to shoulder and elbow surgery.
