Dr Rebecca Smith
Consultant Anaesthetist
Rebecca Smith is a consultant anaesthetist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, having been appointed in 2014. She works privately in London at Princess Grace Hospital, 14 Devonshire Street, The Lister, King Edward VII and One Welbeck.
Rebecca qualified as a doctor at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Having moved to England she obtained a Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Rebecca holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education and a Masters in Regional Anaesthesia. She is an instructor for Adult Life Support (ResusUK).
Rebecca has a strong interest in enhanced recovery, and works collaboratively with patients in the peri-operative period. In conjunction with Mr Luke Jones, Rebecca has been instrumental in the design and delivery of the protocols used for joint replacement surgery.
