Grosvenor Orthopaedic Partners’ Foot and Ankle surgeon, Mr Mike Williamson, recently co-hosted an engaging teaching day in central London alongside Acumed Foot & Ankle and Roopjeet Panesar. The session brought together orthopaedic trainee registrars from across the South of England to sharpen their trauma management skills through a blend of practical workshops and expert-led discussion.
Highlights from the day
- Hands-on workshops: Trainees practised techniques using Acumed training kits on model bones, reinforcing core principles of fixation and surgical planning.
- Case-based learning: Real-world scenarios prompted discussion of decision-making, complications to watch for, and top surgical tips from experienced faculty.
- Open forums: Structured Q&A encouraged trainee-led debate and shared learning across varying levels of experience.
A collaborative effort
Special thanks to Roopjeet Panesar and the Acumed Foot & Ankle team for their support in organising the event and providing equipment and facilities in central London. Their contribution helped create a high-quality, practical learning environment.
